Shuttles

Start at $500

Everything in this part of Texas is rough and the shuttles to the put-in or take-out are no exception. A shuttle in this part of Wild West Texas is an adventure (though it can be tedious) in itself. Expect to be banged around on terrible washboard roads. Expect to dodge deer and other game on curvy and secluded roads. Also, expect at least one stop at a border checkpoint, where you will either be waved on quickly or have agents go through all of your belongings. Either way, we pride ourselves in being there for you and making your shuttle as quick and efficient as possible.

Prices for a shuttle on the river start at a base price of $375. This includes our service fee for driving to and from the ranch as we do not live nearby. The above price also includes the private access fee to the Devils River.

Shuttles to or from the corner of 277 and 377 will be an additional $125 to the base price. The road to the river is 13 miles long and very rough. Expect the shuttle to last about one hour. Shuttles to the Devils River State Natural Area and Rough Canyon Marina (to and from) will be made at the same price. The above price is for up to four people. If there are more than four people in a group an additional $125 will be added for each time we need to shuttle to and from the above put-ins and take-outs.

Shuttles to and from Baker's Crossing will be an additional $250 to the base price. The shuttle to Baker's Crossing is about 100 miles. Expect to make the shuttle in the early morning or late evening (which is how it normally turns out.) Once out of Del Rio, the road is very secluded and can be trecherous. There is one Border Patrol checkpoint a few miles before turning off towards Baker's Crossing. The above price is for up to four people. If there are more than four people in a group an additional $250 will be added for each time we need to shuttle to and from the above put-ins and take-outs.

Other fees, Deposits & Refunds

The above fees are only for our shuttling service. Any other fees that come up (parking and put-in fees), such as parking at Baker's Crossing, Devils River State Natural Area, or Rough Canyon, etc, will be the responsibility of the person floating down the Devils River.

Trips must be paid in full before the shuttle. A full refund will be offered if the weather is too dangerous for a float and the trip cannot be rescheduled.

If a last minute cancellation is made and we are already in the Del Rio area, we will keep the $375 base fee and return the shuttle fees.

Trips that are cancelled at least 10 days in advance will be be refunded in full.

What we need from you...

We will work hard to make a trip on the Devils River happen. If a trip down the Devils River is something you would like to do, please send us a detailed email with your put in and take out (Baker's Crossing, Devils River State Natural Area, Blue Sage Subdivision, and or Rough Canyon Marina) what you need for us to provide, trip leader contact information, number of people floating the river, and dates wanting to be on the river. Each person taking a river trip should have a few extra days of flexibility. The river is prone to delays due to weather. A person could easily have to wait a day or two due to being kept on the river due to flash flooding, severe wind, etc... All people taking a trip down the Devil's River will have to sign a liability waiver.

What you need to know...

YOU must know in advance what you are doing on this river and where you are going. This is a rough river and it can be dangerous. YOU are responsible for your own trip. There are very few places to camp. Camping can be found at Baker's Crossing (000.000.0000) and the Devil's River State Natural Area ( http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findadest/parks/devils_river/).
Our access point is 26 miles downstream from Baker's Crossing and 12 miles from the Devils River State Natural Area. The float from our take out/put in to Rough Canyon Marina is 20+ miles.

San Patricio Cabin

We rent a rustic cabin for those wishing to clean up or get a good night sleep after a wild few days on the river. Day rates for the cabin are $125. Overnight rates are $250. Four people can stay in the cabin comfortably, but more people can be accommodated.

For an additional fee we can meet clients at the take out with food and drinks or we can provide food and drinks for those wishing to stay at the cabin. Prices will depend on what foods and drinks are requested.
