The Devils River
This is one of the last truly wild rivers in the nation. The river is very unique as it flows through the stark countryside at the junction of the Edward's Plateau, Tamaulipan Scrub, and the Chihuahuan Desert. The river is crystal clear and it flows year around due to the springs that gush out of the surrounding hillsides. This is a tremendous river with great opportunities to catch trophy smallmouth and largemouth bass. The fishing on the Devils River can be challenging, especially in areas where there is little or no cover for fish to hide. Each angler will be in a separate canoe with his or her own guide. This allows for the two parties to split up and explore all the nooks and crannies where fish hide. Together, the guide and angler will explore side channels, different flies and techniques allowing the angler to have a unique Devils River experience.

Harry Daley from Colorado with a nice Devils River Smallmouth
This trip is not for the person who is not willing to rough it and be exposed to the elements. We cover the river from Baker's Crossing down to the Blue Sage Subdivision. This is 26+ mile trip. All meals are provided and all meals are excellent. We work very hard to put our clients on fish. We make a trip on the roughest river in Texas an absolute pleasure.
We ask that anybody considering this float be in good physical shape and able to walk down semi-rough rapids. This trip is limited to two anglers due to the limited amount of camping spots on the river.

Canoe fishing on the Devils River
We make the trips out of stable, efficiently packed Wenonah Canoes. We believe that this is the best way to see the river. Compared to other forms of fishing craft, fly fishing from a canoe with somebody paddling is the best way to cover water and have the most shots at catching big fish. If a Devils River fly fishing adventure is something that you would like to experience, please call or email us for more details.
